Title: Two questions about the forum
Post by: IcEcReaM on February 10, 2006, 07:01:27 AM
Hi

Just two questions?
Isn't it possible when i use the search that only the topic subjects is shown in the results,
cause sometimes it's too much scrolling...

And my second question is:
Would it be possible that when a user edit his post,
that the time of the last edit stands below the post
like it's been done already when a mod edit someones post.
This would be somestimes really useful in the mod section
to see if the threadstarter modified his first post,
and build in some modifications/corrections for the mod.

I cant find it anywhere in the settings!...this forum settings are confusing sometimes...
I think its better if you ask it here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/)

I've set it to 10 minutes now.
After post you have 10 minutes to edit it without anyone knowing it ;)

i will see later if i can find anything about the searchoptions there,
and if i find something useful there i will post it here again.

Edit: It seems that there is no possibility to do it like it descripted above.
What a pity  :(

Another Thing.

I get sometimes in the last time an error message,
if i want to append a attachment,
that the upload folder would be full.

What exactly the error message says?

Code: [Select]
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.
This happens for example,
if i try to attach more than one file here:
http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=11558.msg60616#msg60616

But all together, the file size of all files i try to attach are smaller than 60 kb.

i know,
but after visiting the shown topic,
at the next time they aren't listed anymore.
It were good, if you can an overview of the last topics since 24hours even if you already visited them.

Thank you for setting up the word wrapping function in search.
Now it's more easier to scroll through the search results..  :D

It's really strange.

After i posted this,
and tried the search some minutes later,
the search result wasn't wrapped anymore.

But now it wrapped again.

It's really confusing..

P.S.: Attached File: This is how it looks when the results are wrapped.

i have a little suggestion for the mod request forum,
but unfortunatley it's a little bit more workaround for the mods.
Because mixing up there are several threads with mods request,
and also threads with problems with several mods,
what about to make a topic sticky and and link in this thread all mods requests with a little description to
the related threads.
This would be an better overview for mod coders an requesters which mods were already requested.

Btw: would it be possible to raise the length for signatures a little bit,
cause using bbcodes takes a bunch of chars.
