I have the newest version only 1 week ago ago down-loaded participates that fixed there already? or do I have to change that again now? thus was the down load updated?

Yes, the fix is included in the current download (since 3rd of may 2006).
If you're not sure, search in includes/sessions.php for code Jan posted in the first post.

Exactly, this fix is only for 1.7.1 and 1.7.2, not for 1.7

Das liegt wohl nicht am Template. Bei anderen Datenbankanwendungen die auf 4fans.net laufen ist das ähnlich.

Ich suche ein einfaches Newsletter-Mod, bei dem jeder User im Kontrollzentrum selbst entscheiden kann, ob er in Zukunft welche erhalten will oder nicht. Viellleicht auch noch, das ein Gast ebenfalls Newsletter sich bestellen kann. Aber das lass ich mal vorerst weg. Nur Mitglieder soll welche bekommen.

Dazu brauchst Du keine Modifikation. Jeder User kann im Kontollzentrum "Emails von Administratoren erhalten" aktivieren oder deaktivieren.

Als Admin kannst Du über das Admin Controlpanel dann Newsletter - an die Leute die den Empfang aktiviert haben - verschicken.

You need an administratoin tool like phpMyAdmin to make changes to the database.
Please ask your hoster how you can access phpMyAdmin.

Bei phpBB gab es in letzter Zeit viele schwerwiegende security bugs.
Aktuell ist die Version 2.0.20 von phpBB (2006-04-07).

Wie für phpBB gilt auch für 4images: Immer auf die aktuellste Version updaten oder die notwendigen security fixes installieren:

Yes, we think it's a good idea and a spam protection will be included in (one of) the next versions of 4images by default.
