Just a quick note to say I downloaded 1.7.6 yesterday and had it up and running soon after. It does so much of what I wanted from a web gallery, and now I'm busy searching the forum to see if other people have developed mods for the additional functionality I was hoping for. But anyway... just a quick note to say THANK YOU for an awesome piece of software!

Hallo!

Macht weiter so, super Sache...
Gruss

Hello everyone

As described like "Please use this thread for feedback and comments about the 4images 1.7.6 release." at the first comment in this thread, then I will post a suggestion here. OK?

Now I use 4images version 1.7.6. It is running cool. So, my gallery have no trouble so far.
Well... what I want to say is about looks of verification code. It is illegible. Guests to my gallery who want to become a member often fail code input.
I would like to request to change the code to more readable thing.

ciao  :D

The capture functions is to protect your gallery from automated spam bots. Making captcha more readable will only make it weaker against these bots. And besides, visitors can always request new image by clicking on captcha image.

P.S.
you can also try reCaptcha, but IMO it's even less readable..
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)

Thank you for speedy replies, Rembrandt, V@no

I soon put a patch displayed at http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=21028.0
As V@no says 'Making captcha more readable will only make it weaker', I am worried that new code consists of numeric only, while this is easy to read.

I will use numeric code for the time being. Attacks if any, I will replace the added code in config.php.

Thanks again.

Hallo @ all,
