Installation screen never appeared. How do I install?

Hi.  I have downloaded 4images 1.7.4.  I however didn't get an install screen so I believe that is why it is not working.  Can anyone give me the steps to install it or to get the screen?  I opened my ftp page put the folder in there it went through and that's all.  What is the next step to me getting my photos onto my webpage?  Any help is gladly appreciated.

you need to install it from the weblink and not thru ftp if that is what you are doing.. u need to know where it is installed to as in what the folder name is and such.. I believe it comes in a 4images folder so if uploaded as is then it would still be there.. example: www.yoursite.net/4images.install.php

there is also a Readme.txt file I would recommend reading before installing.

Yes when I do that it says Page not found
The page you are looking for might have been removed,
had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

So I am not sure what to do to get the screen.

probably something in the path to the file is wrong.. when I installed mine into nuke I named it /modules/Gallery and I couldn't get to the install file because I was typing /modules/gallery with the lowercase g. Check your path to make sure it is 100% correct.. is there a folder before 4images? An example of when I installed mine was http://phantom.mysite.net/nuke/modules/Gallery/install.php

XxCHB2006xX has the problem... my Gallery was installed 3 weeks ago. My problem is a parse error in includes/template.php

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in /srv/www/htdocs/nuke/modules/Gallery/includes/template.php(101) : eval()'d code on line 113

prevents the pics in the gallery from being viewed, comes up with a blank page.

KurtW, turns out the templates I was using all came from the same author and had the same code. I tried one from a different site before I saw your reply and it worked but thanks. 

XxCHB2006xX, I don't see where the problem could be but I would suggest only having 1 subfolder of gallery OR 4images but not both.  I sent you an email that may be helpful.
