Indexing question

hi, im very new to 4images, and i searched the forums so i wouldn't repeat a question. anyways, heres my question:

1. I tried to put the index.php file into my root directory and it doesnt work as my home index, like when you go to the site you see the homepage (index).

2. How do i make my root index mirror the index for 4images so that when you go to my site you go directly to my 4images home screen and not a different index.html that has a link to the 4images home screen?

i dont now your homepage root and 4images root.  The same?

Rename your index.html to index-2.html
Server search first the index.html, then the index.php in the homepage root folder
