I'm running 1.7.8 and suddenly my search function doesn't work properly.
I have an image in category id 1 that has included in the title "cinderella"
http://alrioart.com/details.php?image_id=4228
But a search doesn't pull up that piece:
http://alrioart.com/search.php?search_keywords=cinderella
Another piece - keyword "neverland"
http://alrioart.com/details.php?image_id=4230
http://alrioart.com/search.php?search_keywords=neverland
Nothing.
Can anyone help?
What should I be looking for?
I've searched this board and ran Rebuild Search Index to no avail.

... try to search like ... *spell* ... and you will find it ...
http://alrioart.com/search.php?search_keywords=*spell*

Hello,
but what about searching only '*' - it dosn't work, but i think, this is not right.
@Terry: did you change some code or may the config from server (host) was changed?

Hi,
what should be the sense of searching for "*" only (everything) thats no search
thats just all... no need for results for just a single "*" wildcard.

It works if you add as many * as the MIN_SEARCH_KEYWORD_LENGTH in constants.php

This is the only thing I can think of. The Hosting Provider may have changed something that is causing this. I did nothing to the files/code to make this happen.

Try rebuild search index plugin and make sure you've applied every single bug fix for your 4images version.

I already tried the rebuild plugin and it did not work. I ran it again after making new bug fixes. I *think* I have them all V@no
NEW - I'm suspecting permissions issues. I'm having some trouble setting permissions for an unrelated file. I have emailed the Hosting Provider about this.
NEW - Nothing has changed on the IHP's end. They are kind enough now to be helping me troubleshoot the issue.
NEW FOR TODAY - The IHP tech guy is nice enough to be looking at this for me. Does anyone else want to chime in on what may be happening and how to fix it?
NEW FOR TODAY - Upgrading to 1.7.9 fixed it. Not sure what was happening but it's good now. Should have upgraded to begin with. Huge thanks to the support at GNAX data center.
