but i get the good ol' 404 error.

maybe i have to place the .htaccess add somewhere specific in the file? top or bottom?

when navifating through your site, I´ve seen that you have even cooler URLs...

instead of
http://gallery.vano.org/en/11991.htm
you have
http://gallery.vano.org/en/11991

How is this done?
Also the language URL is done in cool style ...
Will the mod do that also like in your site?

sorry, that method would require alot more changes in many .php files and require very complex .htaccess
but u could try remove .htm from sessions.php and adjust .htaccess

Could you please let us in on your workaround for this? I dont need this for every link, just the menu items like Memberlist, Top Images, New Images, ect.. also i noticed on yoru site you have a Google Map setup, I have done the same but im restricted to how I can use it and I think if I had a link like this http://www.cydonian.com/photos/gmap insted of my current setup http://www.cydonian.com/photos/index.php?template=gmap then the google map would be a bit more interactive and user friendly.

This would really help the 4images engine I think. Not to mention my little dilemma. If you have any ideas that might help me toher than the top request please let me know.

Im not that PHP or HTML savy but i know some of you are and Im hoping some of you might be able to help with this little mod/addon Im thinking about.

Image Zoomer is a free Javascript code that can be found here

What I would like to do is add it as an option for some images. Maybe a button that turns it on and off.
Any ideas on how this can be done?

Ok I've done some searches on the board and found little to no solid work arounds to changing the ICQ field to MSN. I dont use ICQ anymore and I dont have any users who do. All i want to do is change the ICQ field in the member_profile.html to be used as an MSN entry that will show if the user is online or offline, the same way the ICQ does.

I have the online indicator link http://www.onlinestatus.org/index.html

I tried to follow this thread on the subject http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=8748.0

but the feild isnt accepting an email address when i save the profile. It goes blank. Numbers will stay (old icq way) but no text. Tried messin with the attributes in the table through phpmyadmin but no success.


Anyone have any idea how to get this to work?

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Index page loads very slow

Im noticing a problem with my 4images homepage. The index is loading very slowly and sometimes it just doesnt load at all. Just a white page comes up.

I've removed the (if_random_imaga) statement inorder to speed it up but its still slow. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?
Other pages seem fine, ACP is fine for the most part. Just the index is slow.

The speed on teh rest of my site and even on details pages for the 4images site is fine. Just dont understand what could be causing such a difference i load times.

another question.

Anyoen have success in moving and editing the 'powered by mantra' line at the bottom?
I want to remove the mantra logo, move the text so its right justified and make the 'mantra' text a link to his website, inted of that logo.

anyone know where i can find that text to edit? I feel like Ive searched everywhere.

In regards to the avatar mod code you did a few pages back for showthread.php
I was just going to try it out but Im noticing my showthread.php is much different then the one you were working with.

I cant make some of the changes you point out becaus ethe code doesnt match what you have. Ive never addusted after install.
Heres my code (php file zipped). Just thought I would let you know.

I would love to have this work but after reading the work you did and the frustrations, i can understand if this doesnt get solved. np

Installed this mod but something odd happens after a couple of tries.

my index page comes up blank. any ideas? Just a white page for the index.

The 'Forgot Password' function is not working on these forums.

I haven tried for weeks waiting for the email giving me a new password but nothing ever happens.

I just had to create a new account.
