How to auto rename the picture when uploaded?

Each time when any member wants to upload a picture to the website, he must insert an image name for the picture.
Is there anyway I can make this done automatically, for example: picture1, picture2, and so on...
i want to remove that image name field from the upload page?
Do you have any solution for this?

I thing there is easy solution for ur problem
but it's not going to be as ur example
the name of the image will be random
E.g:
time-userid.XXX
1250-23.jpg

to make things clear, i will re-explain the problem again:
If this is possible, I have an avatar website, and want to auto rename the names for the files. means avatar1, avatar2, and so on...
so the members will not have to enter a name for his upload.
don't worry about previous images, i will delete them.
So, can anyone help me with that (making the images takes the same name format)?
