Hi,
I'd love to know if there is a way of formatting the message that appears when right clicking, id like to add in some line breaks so it's not just a giant run on sentance for what I've got in mine.

Is this possible somehow?

Id like to put:
Right clicking to save images has been disabled.
If you'd like to save an image please use the download linke provided under each image

Okay, heres a big challenge.  How about a guestbook for each registered user.  Perhaps it can be added when a user goes into a specific category where it displays:

Home :: category :: subcategory

Guestbook of subcategory

I realize that not everyone uses a specific category for each user, but it could still be utilized if someone wants to have a guestbook for a category.

I imagine that there are plenty of guestbooks already written that would just have to be integrated somehow.

As for me, I dont have the skills, Im still trying to figure out what the . does in the clickstream command.

I've got users of our site that hate that we dont have page titles, all the sites pages have just our site name. So they've been asking me if it's possible to get the actual page title in the top of the browser instead of just the site title, something like site title: page title.

Is this possible somehow? I realize that it's a generic header.html template file, but Im wondering if there is anyone who has managed this.

So that perhaps putting a piece of code that tells what the page title is, in the template, then when the header displays the site title tag, it could also display the page title tag.  Or for things like details.php where your looking at the full sized image, maybe it could display the site title and image title in the titlebar on the browser.

Anyone?

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Is there a mod to sort the category dropdown list?

Im getting rather tired of having to sort the category drop down list everytime I add a new user.

Basically, I have a user that signs up (registers), and I create a category under "showcase" that is the same as their username.   I edit the permissions so that upload is private.  Then edit the user so they can upload to that category.  But then I have to "edit" the categories so that they are in alphabetical order, else it's really hard for the user to find his/her category.

So what I need is a way to have the category dropdown list sort in alphabetical order no matter what the real order is.

Any mods for this?

I see in the /lang/english/ directory there is a main.php file that contains some of the language used.

Im stumped by why it wont let me add anymore.

For example there is:
$lang['register'] = "Registration";

Directly under that I added:
$lang['reregister'] = "Signup";

Now in the category.html template I put in
{lang_reregister} but nothing shows up for it.

Whats the trick here, please keep in mind this is all new to me and Im trying to find my way around.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Disabling Hotlinking

I have a need to disable hotlinking of photos.

Ive been to the following page:

But no matter which one I try, 1 through 4, they all prevent images from being seen even from requests from my site.

So Im wondering whats going on and if there is another way of doing this?

I create a category for each user that signs up, but some users only signup so that they can vote or comment on existing photos and have no immediate desire to upload any of their photos.

Is there a way of blocking categories that have 0 images in them from showing up under there main categories something like the following:

Main Category:
User A (10 photos) - This category should show up
User B (0 photos) - This category should NOT show up
User C (3 photos) - This category should show up

Since I setup a gallery for each registered member of my site, but not all of them register to post photos, some people only register so that they can post comments or vote on other peoples images.

So, when I look at my main gallery page entitled "showcase", it lists all the users galleries underneath it.  I'd like a way to display only those galleries that have photos in them, so the ones that have 0 images wont show up in either the category dropdown list or under the main category they are listed under.

Is there a way to do this?

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Put a specific gallery link in users left panel?

I've got my system where when  a user registers I create a gallery and set the permissions for only them to upload to it. (This is all done manually so theres no need to ask for how I do it automated, I dont   )

What I would like to do is to put a link on the left side of the page that says, My Gallery and have it linked to their specific gallery, is there an easy way of doing this?

Installation, Update & Configuration / Registration email never arrives, but.....

Okay, Im stumped here.

I've turned off the smtp feature, and set account activation to email, and put a known working email address as the admin email in general | Settings.

I logout of admin account and register for a new account, it says it's sent a activation email, but it never arrives.

I log back on as the admin, go to the send email function, and send a test email to the newly created account that has yet to be activated, I get a BCC to the admin email account, but the mail to the user is never received.

What in the world is going on with this?

Im not using the smtp feature, as Im sure my server wont allow it as will neither my isp's mail server.

So, why are email validations not being sent.  I've seen this on other 4images sites too.  Another fellow from a forum about digi photography set it up, told us to register, and I did, but was never sent the email activation email.

Can anyone help with this?

Mods & Plugins (Requests & Discussions) / Auto create user directory upon signup, is it possible?

Hi,
I've got this system setup on my server, but Im wondering if anyone has a mod that automatically creates a user directory, and sets the permission of that user to allow him/her only to post to that particular directory, or must I set this all up manually.

Basically how I'd like to see it work is this:

1. User signs up for an account.
2. Administrator has to approve the account.
3. After the Admin approves the account, I'd like the 4images to automatically create a directory under "users" with the username, and set permissions on this directory to only allow that user (who was just approved) to upload images to this directory.

Is this possible currently or is there a mod to do this?
