you will need to edit the table with the thumbnails in categories.php . I edited that table in my website to show the first image with a big size (example: http://www.myart.es/categories.php?cat_id=45&l=english )

show_imagethat function show the thumbnail, there are the tags from the table in html. You will need know that the while is for every thumbnail then you will need to add "<tr>" tag in the begin and  "</tr>" at the end of the loop. do you understand me? in the code it count the thumbnail in a row and when there are the max thumbnail by row (image_cell) the code add a new row (</tr> and count = 0)
