[MOD Req] Who's online more detailed-
« on: February 11, 2006, 11:51:56 PM »
I've trieng to modify my userlist this way:

Under the regular whos_online list LINK to more detailed version which shows currently logged users this way:

Username
Userpic / Avatar
Usergender
Userlocation
etc.

So i've maked a new file, called useronline.php and used the code from the index. Next step, i've maked a useronline.html for the template.
But how to register the other fields in the detailed who's online? I've allready installed all necessary MODs.

If you need to register new / additional initials, you can always follow my tutorial from here :

yes, it would be great :) Because when you have about 30 users online, it will be very good to have that detailed overview (because my visitors use my site to "date" people) :) :)

Oracle: Yes

Gentlemen, this has already been discussed here :

http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=6797.msg60718#msg60718

which is the reason why, it is unlikely, this task would be unconsiderably done that easily.

The thing i want to do is:

username1          unsername2          username3
_ _ _ _ _ _
I              I
I              I          the same              the same
I userpic   I
I              I
---------------

usergender          usergender            usergender
userage                userage                 userage
userlocation         userlocation           userlocation

ok, i try it that way, it looks like:
http://www.ggrec.com/zapomnime2/useronline.php

So, for the userpic we need two things:

- PROPORTIONAL resize to fixed widht or height
- "no image" text, or specific image for users who dont have a picture

Its a success so far, thanks Oracle, just the other fields ;)

The fact to put these routines on a new file won't change anything except to load numerous infos from your index page. It will only slow up your album since indefinite SQL fields would need to be amended (and even more in the future). This will only slow up your gallery even more.

sure Stoletti, because you have to be registered to see the pics.
Use username "test" and pw "test" to view it
