My host upgraded the php not too long ago.
When trying to do a databse backup I get the internal server error.
Is it the php upgrade that causes this?
or
Is it the lack of ram on the server (it has 4 gig) which is shared by many.
The database is approx 29mb in size.
Any patches/settings I can do?
One other question, I cannot find where the db is on the server to manually dl it to back it up. Is there as standard place they get stored for mysql?

It could have been 1.7.1 not 100%
I just checked though in 1.7.3 and it is showing the session id in url's. I just delete the session id stuff from any pasted url's but if there is a fix to not show that in the url it would be safer.
So Veno do you happen to know off hand what/where that mod/fix is?
I just found the fix for older version so I opened my sessions.php in 1.7.3 (was in the includes dir)
and the code matches the security fix for older

backup your config.php
upload the new 4images files to the appropriate(unzip on your pc first)
restore your old config.php
That's all I did for 1.7.3 and everything worked great!

Actually with 1.7.2 I had that problem if an admin cut and pasted a url with the session id info.
Didnt' matter what ip the end user was on it logged them in as that admin.
I did the security mods and it seemed to fix it.
the upgrade to 1.7.3 is easy, there is a txt file to follow, not a difficult thing ( I am not a geek and things are usually difficult for me)

I went and read all the rss stuff again and I am still not sure of it's purpose.

Veno I went and read and it is still greek to me like half of the post here still are.
Why is that icon on the gallery pages and why does it link to rss.php? WHen you click on it , it opens the php file in another window.
Can you give me an example or an analogy of an rss feed.

Could someone kindly explain what an rss feed is and what it is used for?
On the 1.7.3 gallery page there is a small icon that links to the rss.php
Is this a security problem?
I have no clue and am going to look for a cold beer for me and the first one that can explain in english to me!

I'll try getting new admin files
I don't know php so the mods are a bit confusing to me.
It works but is slow but that is better than not working which could happen if I mess around with code lol.

A few months ago I had a person help me by installing the security updates and move database and software to a new server.
Ever since then log in to the control panel main page is slow up to 2-5 minutes before the main text show. The left hand column shows right away. Any other action/choice in the cpanel works fast and normal but as soon as you click control panel home it takes 2-5 minutes to get the info to show.
Is this normal with the security updates?
Is it possible this person put a backdoor into the code for him to get in or get info?
I looked at the script files but uhm... well...... most of it is greek and nothing is supsiscious looking.

I have made gallery visible to registered users only.
I have this person(probably hacker) that logs on with
username* and has three different sessions logged on with three different ip's all looking at the same image.
This username is not a registered person. The asterix I think is the key.
Is this some sort of backdoor?
Can I stop this?
