Dear mod creators and edirtors,

I am writing to ask for a help. In my website there are more than 1000 categories and I want to use this mod: http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=6675.0 (Show a thumbnail instead of a folder icon next to category) , but the problem is that main categories are empty. I need that this mod will take a image from full category inside. I will try explain here:

800x600 Wallpapers (empty) -> Cars (Empty) -> Ferrari (full)
                                                                -> Porshe (full)
                                                                -> ............
                                          ->Animals(Empty) -> Cats(full)
                                                                   -> Dogs(full)
                                                                   ->............
So I need that categories "wallpapers" icon would be taken from one of the ful categories. That could be "ferrari", "cats" or "dogs". And in the same way that category "Cars" will take icon from "ferrari" or "porsche", but not from others categories, just from deeper level categories.

check server error logs

First thing I did, I checked the error logs. I am using PLESK and there wasn't any log aboot the errors were happned.

Now I now, that the problem is 4images script. We have instaled many mods. And now the script is too heavy fo using. It takes 16MB of RAM just one page refreshing.

Now I need programer which could be able to optimize the script.

Any ideas ? Mabe it is eay and I could be able to do it by myself ?

I was searching this mod, but look likes that nobody asked.

It really will be great.

This shold look something like: There were 78787 images viewed today.

i am using 1.4.2

For some blank pages the problem was a server limits.  I saw that every 4imamge script page refresh takes 16 MB of RAM. So, the problem is that I need script optimization...

Else, for that one category which was blank (error) the problem is uknown, I just made to show 0 subcategories, and everyhing is working perfect.

Today I found one very big problem at my website.

Everything works fine, just I can't get inside one category. My site is www.zaisk.com and that category I can't enter is http://zaisk.com/cat32.htm 

When I am trying to enter it, I get jus blank page. All subcategories of that categorie is OK. What can be wrong ? What to do ?

I looked the error logs and found nothing similar with this error


Please help me as soon as you can.

in index.php find:

Replace with:

Code: [Select]

        WHERE i.image_active = 1 AND c.cat_id = i.cat_id AND i.cat_id NOT IN (".get_auth_cat_sql("auth_viewcat", "NOTIN").") AND i.cat_id IN (XX,XX,XX,XX)
Replace XX with category IDs you wish, you can add as many categories as you wish.

Thanks a lot, but if I want to show them not in one place but in some differents. For example if I want them to show outsite the 4images ? Is it possible to show outside 4images with just one chosen category ? In that way I will be able to make them seperately dislpayed on the home page as newest images image from each category.

Hello,

I want to take images just from wanted category. It can be just from one (any categorie, but included all subcategories). I want to show newest images just from one category. How to do that ?

the answer is simple: nobody has an answer for your request. Opening another topic with same request will only make it to be locked down or deleted.

Maybe someone can make a hack for this ?

I am again here after so long time..

I need the same thing for *.jpg *.gif *.wmw *.avi *.mpg (for all video and pictures files)

When I am changing the same script for other media file, so I get the video starting at the same time when starting showing the advertisement, but just sound goes, video is not showing. But when preloader timer finish when the video pop-up on the top and make a mess. The ads are also showing in pop-up without window not in details page.

Please, I very need that Ads Preloader for  this script.

This hack is very important for me.

I uploaded image into gallery without thumbnail then tried to auto creat thumbnail for it. But everything I got was "No entries found."

Please help.. I very need this mod...


SORRY,.,, My mistake. Just choose GD in settings and everythin works fine. Thanks for this great mod.
