Integration 4hp und vbulletin
« on: June 04, 2002, 05:50:13 AM »
Hi all, sit here for the last hours to integrate this gallery-script into vbulletin (2.6).
All the work with tables is done and i use user and session (vb) instead the two from the gallery. The next big problem will be the session and cookie-handling. Im no programmer at all and maybe someone here has the same idea or interest to fix the things together with me.

BTW: Im still looking for the right syntax to call the script with diff. templates; may you have a clue?

Would anyone who has managed to integrate 4images and vBulletin please e-mail me at xfan@ihug.com.au with how they did it?

My Web site runs off vBulletin and this 4images gallery is exactly what I need, but I can't have two different user databases as I have a couple of thousand registered members on my vBulletin forums!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm currently working on a full template integration with vBulletin. I'll keep you guys posted on this. :)
@Robert9: Maybe we can work together on this one, as you've already got the user integration complete?

I've successfully integrated the main page and the categories listing so far. Everything seems to be going quite well, I *think* I'll be done with it tomorrow. :) After that step there will still be some things missing, but I'll take a look when I'm done with my current task, heh. :)

Great Konqueror !

To bad, that we dont know Robert9's e-mail, and it seems, he's not visiting this forum anymore...he already finished the integration...I would like to see the code of the session and cookie-handling integration...

Well, my guess was a little off target, but I'll be done with template integration today. :) Seems as if I'll have to do the session/cookie integration myself though. :(
BTW, I haven't changed anything in the database, so if you've already got this installed on your site, you just have to replace the files and you're done. :)

Very cool, thanks Konqueror!

Can't wait til this is done - then I can surprise my forum regulars with a brand new image gallery!

If you'd like to betatest it, please send me a PN. :)
User integration isn't working yet, but the templates are really almost done now. ;) The weather was just too nice to really do that much work, heh. :)
