cannot login as admin nor as user

Hello,

I have a strange problem : I cannot login to my site with my usuals login/password (the admin one) nor with the login/password of one of the site's user.

Every time I get the index page.

No changes were made to the website, the scripts files or anything else.


I have check the users table, the user_password's values are ok. The user_level's values are ok too. But no way to log in the site

I have tried to change the passsword, as explain in http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=1858.0. Unsuccessful.

I have tried to empty the sessions table. Unsuccessful.

The site works fine, except I cannot login and reach the admin pages.

Well... I don't know what happen...

Any idea ?

Usually it's server side issue, i.e. PHP sessions are not working properly. Try contact your site administrator. But before that, try install unmodified 4images and see if you can login there.

Yesterday I contacted the host society, they told me sessions work fine on my website.

Now, I just made a new installation of 4images (1.7.7) on a new directory of my site and with a new database (a really new database, no just adding 4images tables on an existing database).

Installation works fine, tables were created on the new database, user with 9 level (me) was created on users table, config.php settings are ok with the new configuration. I don't touch anything else.

But I still cannot login with the new admin login/password...

I actually seem to have the same problem (provider is piranho).....

I had the same issue. Suddenly the sessions not work. The login only worked with autologin option.
The problem was that the file where session.save_path in php.ini was set in a directory that didn't exist.
It was after a problem in the server. My database was crashed and it seems that the file of sessions too.
