This does work great. But a href is missing
I tried {image_media_file} but that only gives me the link to the image you are on (when used on details)

what about "current" image thumb? how to show it "highlighted" in this bar?

Just use {thumbnail} on the details page

I'm not quite sure. I would only remove "iso-8859-1"

The problem you have with æøå is because of your system, and you should not have this problem as soon as you upload it to your host.
