"SAFE MODE Restriction in effect"
« on: May 28, 2005, 04:51:49 AM »
Well, I'm not too sure what this means, but I attempted to upload an image and I received the following error:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10016 is not allowed to access /home/httpd/vhosts/mguser.com/subdomains/r2k/httpdocs/Upload/data/media/2 owned by uid 48 in /home/httpd/vhosts/mguser.com/subdomains/r2k/httpdocs/Upload/includes/upload.php on line 113

Everything seems to be installed right, right down to the CHMOD-ing. Is this a common problem? Or did I just make a mistake somewhere down the track?

I tried to search, and it came up with no results. I did my homework, I guess I just failed it.

After rephrasing my search I got what I was looking for.

Hi,

test this:

1. delete all folders for your categories in data/media/
   (1, 2, 3, ...)
2. create now the same folders new with the ftp-software for your categories in data/media/
3. all folders must have 777

4. delete all folders for your categories in data/thumbnails/
   (1, 2, 3, ...)
5. create now the same folders new with the ftp-software for your categories in data/thumbnails/
6. all folders must have 777

I think, the upload after this proc. is no problem.

gruß
Kurt

Hallo,
