[Template] 5 new Basic 1.7 templates
« on: May 21, 2003, 08:39:54 AM »
Look here:

http://www.vierstra.com/4images.htm

No color or CSS changes, just layout, easy variable width, userbox removal, top/bottom change.

From the readme:

After creating 11+ templates in early 2002 its time to do something new.

This template is created from the basic 4images 1.7 template.

Unzip the file in your templates directory, and choose 4_default_wide
in the General/Settings section of the admin site.

1. Site width

To adjust the width of the site open the header.html from
this template and look for:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
at the end of the file.

Change the 100% to whatever you like, can be 90% or 80% relative width, or change to 1024, 800 or something, pixel width.

2. Top appearance

To change the top logo and layout you only have to change one file:
searchbox.php in the incl directory of the template.

3. "Click Bar" appearance

The layout of the clickstream and top/new images table is in the
click_incl.php in the incl directory of the template.

4. "User box" appearance

The layout of the user box cell is in the
user_incl.php in the incl directory of the template.

5. Bottom appearance

To change the bottom table layout you only have to change one file:
bott_incl.php in the incl directory of the template.

For questions / remarks about this template go to http://www.vierstra.com

Please leave the link to www.vierstra.com in the template, eventhough
you have changed the template. If you don't want the link there,
please place a link somewhere else on your site to http://www.vierstra.com, thanks!!

I am available for custom template design, contact me at my site.

Singaraja, Bali, Indonesia, may 2003,

Bert Vierstra

Dear All,
What a great script and what beautiful and useful templates. However I have a problem with the 4default_wide template and the French language pack, when not logged in as admin.

Whenever I try to open the site, I get a white page with the following error message "Parse error: parse error in template.php(133) : eval()'d code on line 67 ".  However, if I go directly to the .../4images/admin page, and type in my id and password, then go into the Control panel, then go to "Access the Galleries", there is no problem and I can see the pictures.  This only happens in the French version : if I select language as English in the control panel, I am able to access the site directly, without having to log in at all.

I hope someone can help... I can not believe how professional this script is and how helpful this support forum is.  Also love the mods.  It seems to me that everybody is trying to enhance this neat software and make it even better... Good team job!. Thanks!!. CB

AIght I used the first one with all the features. I created cats. Then creates some subs. Then create more cats. But when I created 2 subs in a cat I get this error when click on them or trying to go to them...

Parse error: parse error in /var/www/domains/teamillusive.com/forums/4images/includes/template.php(133) : eval()'d code on line 51

Heres a link to my 4images gallery http://teamillusive.com/forums/4images/ And I am trying to access the Project Car's sub cats.

Thanks

Well I went in through a random pic that was on my portal. And it let me in, but not to that cat. So I went in the control panel and deleted those sub cats. And now it works fine. But I havent re created those yet and dont think I want to till you fix it.
