Avatar would be palce in the comment,working like most BB.
This is very useful for images rating activity.Most users need to be rated back so it 'd be great if the commenter can show his avatar in his comment aswell.

I do agree, at least have an Avatar pic in the User Profile...if anyone knows if this would be possible?
