Need Help: Cannot log in as administrator

I just installed the 4images gallery. However, i cannot get into the control panel.

I type in my username and password, and get a message that says "logging in, will be directed" for a second and then i get sent back to the login page. It says "you are no adminstrator".

I am using v 1.7.3

What can i do?

login from homepage (not ACP) and make sure cookies are not blocked

I have tried that but it says "You have specified an invalid username or password"

I apologize for being a bother.

Do i need to register?

During the installation you've entered admin name and password of your choice...so, use it to login...
