Broken Linked icons after installation

running this on some webspace, installation went fine and mysql db was created ok.
logged into control panel for the first time and although I can see the text, all the icons are replaced by broken image link symbols ( see attached example) And this happens in all the php files, none will display the icons/logo's

Any ideas anyone, I am fairly new to all this, and would welcome peoples suggestions.

I think your problem is you have it in the cgi-bin as this script should not be put there.

ah, I will try installing it in another folder then.
