[MOD] MultiUpload
- This mod enables the users to add multiple files to a category at once.
- The images will get name and index, ie. "My pet", "My pet 2", "My pet 3",...
- for 4images 1.7.1...

I have had this mod installed for a short while - now for whatever reason I am starting to get errors when I upload multiple files, and I am not quite sure of why. Your mod doesn't even touch the annotate.php, but this is the error message I am receiving when attempting to upload multiple files:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare ann_rename() (previously declared in /home/www/public_html/imaging/includes/annotate.php:9) in /home/www/public_html/imaging/includes/annotate.php on line 9

Line 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 are as following:

9    function ann_rename($old, $new){
10  $oldWD = getcwd();
11  chdir(realpath(dirname($old)));
12  $ok = (rename(basename($old), basename($new))) ? 1 : 0;
13  chdir($oldWD);
14  return $ok;
15  }

Any ideas on how to fix the error? It appears to have a problem renaming the file after uploading it.

Help! Bitte - please

ANYONE here who can explain what needs to be done to get rid of this error message?

I am not able to upload the images either to userprofiles (unless first uploaded to the image file via i.e. ftp and specify the path to the image, no image will show... just the little red X)

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Re: Edit multiple images
« on: August 11, 2005, 08:32:30 PM »
Mawenzi,

The one you referred to works great (after enabling Quick Edit). It took me a moment to comprehend the function of copy/move, as I didn't want that, but noticed in the Edit Images that another option for Quick Edit was added.
Using that option and changed the default No (to use Quick Edit) to a yes all images can now be edited in one category at once.

AWESOME

I have translated it to Danish, so if you are out there and need a Danish version for the Batch Copy/Move/Edit Images v3.7.2 it is attached here. The file needs to replace admin/images.php

By default, the category_bit.html template displays a folder icon next to categories. It is possible to also display a thumbnail of an image selected at random from that category.

In the category_bit.html template that ships with the downloaded distribution of 4images, there is the following:
Code: [Select]
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  <tr>
    <td valign="top">
      <img src="{template_url}/images/folder.gif" width="20" height="13" alt="" />

      <!-- {if random_cat_image_file}<a href="{cat_url}"><img src="{random_cat_image_file}" border="1"></a>{endif random_cat_image_file}  -->

    </td>
    <td> <a href="{cat_url}" class="maincat">{cat_name}</a>&nbsp;({num_images})
      {if cat_is_new}{lang_new}{endif cat_is_new} </td>
  </tr>
</table>

As you can see above, there is already HTML that can display a random category image thumbnail. It is simply commented out. To activate the thumbnail, uncomment the HTML. In this example the folder icon HTML is deleted in favor of the image thumbnail.
Code: [Select]
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  <tr>
    <td valign="top">

      {if random_cat_image_file}<a href="{cat_url}"><img src="{random_cat_image_file}" border="1"></a>{endif random_cat_image_file}

    </td>
    <td> <a href="{cat_url}" class="maincat">{cat_name}</a>&nbsp;({num_images})
      {if cat_is_new}{lang_new}{endif cat_is_new} </td>
  </tr>
</table>

Lastly, this feature is enabled by default, but if you previously edited includes/constants.php, check to ensure that the following line is present in that file:
Code: [Select]
define('SHOW_RANDOM_CAT_IMAGE', 1);

OK - so... removing the 'Comment Out' gives me code that still shows the folder icon AND the random image. I changed the code to the following:

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  <tr>
    <td valign="top">
     <img src="{template_url}/images/folder.gif" width="20" height="13" alt="" border="0" />
      {if random_cat_image_file}<a href="{cat_url}"><img src="{random_cat_image_file}" width="20" height="13" border="0"></a>{endif random_cat_image_file}
    </td>
    <td>
     <a href="{cat_url}" class="maincat">{cat_name}</a>&nbsp;({num_images})
      {if cat_is_new}<sup class="new">{lang_new}</sup>{endif cat_is_new}
   </td>
  </tr>
</table>
{if cat_description}<span class="smalltext">{cat_description}</span><br />{endif cat_description}
{if sub_cats}{sub_cats}{endif sub_cats}

It would be nice if the random image icon would show up without the folder, and only show the folder if no random image was found.  I just can't see where this is done.

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Edit multiple images
« on: August 09, 2005, 06:35:51 PM »
Hi there,

Anyone who has any idea on how to modify multiple images at once? I.e. change the dates of several images in one sweep instead of having to go through the Control Panel and change the date one image at a time.

Also, it would be nice if it could upload a folder instead of just one image at a time. If this option becomes available, it would be nice to have the first option too, as they then one could edit the comments on all images in the folder at once instead of picking out one picture at a time.

Thank you

Discussion & Troubleshooting / Upload creates only thumbnails
« on: August 08, 2005, 07:45:54 PM »
Hi there,

I installed this fine, and added only a few mods (the annotation and the user images). Now everytime I upload an image it gets uploaded as a thumbnail, so even though the image-size is set to the default of 1024x1024 of max 2Mb, the thumbnail is being enlarged to that size and creates a very pixellated image.

Anyone who knows where the setting is for this in the default script? I mean the setting for the upload size?

Thanks a bunch!!!

bug fixes

I have been looking through your bug fixes and cannot seem to locate that error either. ({if userpic_img} MISSING IMAGE {enduf userpic_img}

What do I need to do to get this problem resolved? I seem to have the exact same error. When trying to upload, it appears to be saving, but in fact nothing gets uploaded and the ..data/userpic/ is empty. userpic[chmod 777] ok.

========================

Now you can get the Danish version of the language pack. There are also icons in this version.

Get it now

The file is a setup-file, and the only thing it's doing is unpack on your desktop.

There is nothing being installed on your computer, and the only reason for the setup-file is less writing of how-to :)
