Hi,

To solve problem of uploading image that causes the following error:

Code: [Select]
Error uploading image file: image.jpg
image.jpg: Copy error. Please check the directory permissions.

No database entry!

First:
Check SAFE_MODE status. For further Information READ this FAQ post by Chris
http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=6836.0
if that didnt work then try seconed step.

Second:
READ this Error Messages post by Jan
http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=3383.0
if that didnt work then try third step.

Third:
Log in to your control panel as an admin then DELETE all categories and RE-CREAT them.

Thank you very much for this information.. and to everyone who has shared info on how to resolve this issue. I have spent the past 4 hours or so, going through all your posts and following through with all of your suggestions for fixes.. but unfortunately, after checking and fixing, and repairing absolutely everything suggested in the dozens of posts I found through using your Search function.. I have not been able to resolved this issue.

So, does anyone have any other ideas?  And a quick question on top of that.. if I have no choice but to delte all my categories and then re-do them.. that will mean I will have to upload all the photos in my gallery yet again, correct?  I really want to avoid that, if possible, as I have over 10,000 images in my gallery  :?
