Administrator can upload bigger files
« on: February 25, 2010, 09:56:07 PM »
Hi,

I have made a site for a client and set the max image width and height on 750 pixels.
A normal user who will upload a photo bigger than 750 pixels wide, will get an error saying the image is too large. If the administrator uploads a photo bigger than 750 pixels, no error occurs and the big file is on the site (conflicting with the lay-out).

Is there a workaround so that also the administrator has to deal with the size limit?

hello basdemeijer and welcome to 4images forum ...

... a adminstrator with restrictions is not a adminstrator ...
... if the adminstrator don't know that bigger images breaks the layout of his own website , he should upload images as a normal user ...
... or you should install for your client the [MOD] Auto image resize on upload ...
... so users and adminstrators can upload bigger images, but they are resized to fit the website layout ...
