Hi,

Install problem. I've transferred all the necessary files to my webhotel, but after filling in all the information I get the following error message: An unexpected error occured. Please try again later.

I've created a MySQL database, a database-user and uses localhost as Database server hostname.

Funny thing is, I did install this a week ago without a problem, then deleted all the files and decided to install it again, and now I get the error message.

Hi nicky9,

the error comes, when the db tables already there.
When the tables in the db, you must not install again.
Only the db properties in the config.php are then required

ok, but how do I solve the problem?

I have a file called config.new.php, should I do anything with it?

rename the config.new.php to config.php
write your db infos in the file

Finish...

I did this:

1. Put my db info in the config.php file and uploaded it.
2. Went to the install.php page and filled out everything, including admin username + password, then clicked "Start".
3. Error message: An unexpected error occured. Please try again later. (However, not the same font as before)
4. Now when I go to index.php or install.php the error message shows up and I can't get to the installation page at all.

(I have already changed the folder properties to 777 and 666, does this matter?)

I've deleted all the files on my server, and deleted all databases. The uploaded and tried to reinstall eerything. But I still get the same error message. If I have deleted everything, how can it not work? Are there some kind of hidden folders or something?

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'mycelebp_celeb '@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/mycelebp/public_html/includes/db_mysql.php on line 39

An unexpected error occured. Please try again later.

ok, there was a blank spce in the user name that shouldn't have been there. I took it away.

Now I only get the error message:

An unexpected error occured. Please try again later.

thanx anyway.

ok, my webhotelmaster installed it, and he didn't register an admin. Is there some kind of standard admin to log on with?
