I was looking for a way to show the category and subcategories shown on the homepage on other pages such as details.html and categories.html
I tried a lots with experimenting but hard luck…. any way to achieve this?

i am also looking for something like this... instead of images from any category... the same "new images" (in default 4images) split into two column of 5 each (if set to total newimages 10)

Yes it’s possible… this can have lots of interesting implementation in our 4images gallery….
Hope some smart coder comes up with a way to implement it

This is the prettiest template I’ve ever seen. I truly want to let you know just how much I appreciate you sharing this with the community. The one question I would have is if Adsense code can be installed and if so, how would one go about doing that?

Regarding the adsense: yes u can add in the same way you would do it with other html pages.... just add the code u generate from your account to the template files (home.html, categories.html, details.html....... )

Great template! I have installed,  constructed and destructed: just had a good time with this template. I have found a little quirk with the details page, just with Firefox. High cpu usage with the details page in Firefox, not as bad in  IE. On a PII laptop I get 100% usage with Firefox, 40% with IE using your details page. Only when the page has focus.  When I use the default template  page, usage is the same with IE and Firefox, about 7%. Numbers are proportional with a faster machine.
I've been to busy at work to track it down. I will post when I find the cause, but I hope you can beat me to it. Donna.nmblaptops.com

How do I have to make the changes in this template?

hmm try adding {width_height} in the modified version…. sorry I am not able to understand what the above mod does….

Thanks for this great MOD, just tried it, unfortunately no errors, but no category displayed all.... its empty on home.html and catagory.html

I was interested to apply this mod to only the subcategory and leave the main category as default.... is it possible?
and also wanted to apply this mod on the sub-category page (leaving the home page as normal)

is it possible to alter the color by just using the style sheet and changing the hue of the buttons and such in PSP???

Most of the colors used on the template can be modified using the style sheet.. the navigation bar, mouse over effects will have to be redone using PS.

I would love this with my own header and a light blue color to match my site!

You can download the PSD of the header and modify it according to your needs...

How can I define by default that the picture info-box is open or close?

This should solve the problem 

Open the java script file “hotdt.js” from you “Wallpaper” template directory, and edit “var contractsymbol=” and “var expandsymbol=” with the correct site path to the image directory inside the template "Wallpaper" folder. (this is the path to on/off button for toggle view)

Hey people,

I've noticed a lot of you have asked a way to completely remove sessionid's, as google DOES NOT like it.

Just add this somewhere in your .htaccess:

php_value session.use_cookies 1
php_value session.use_only_cookies 1
php_value session.use_trans_sid 0
Just add it at the very end of your .htaccess (for instance), and session id's are gone for good

Copy the source code of "header.html"
Open "home.html"
to change {header} by the copied source code[/b
Publish to its pleasure (in home.html):
<title>xxxxxxxx</title>
"meta_keywords" => "xxxxxxxx"
"meta_description" => "xxxxxxxxx"
This will only have effect for the page index.

Simple idea, but just did not think this way 

Sometimes some things seems to be a blessing in disguise.. I have noted that search engines seems to be liking it like when I add new content (almost daily) it changes dynamical.. And this seems to be having good results in search....like the fresh content on the homepage is always reflected into the tags.. Making the tags fresh with new content

First of all welcome to 4images! You have found the best (yea! i really mean it) image management system on the net!

In the setting you have option "Choose template directory" and in the fresh installation the drop down menu will have "default"

Now you have to find a template which you like... there are hundreds of free templates available... and upload the zip file to directory /templates/ and unzip it on server ... now go back the settings section in control panel and u will see under the default in dropdown menu...the name of the new template folder.. Just select it and save the settings... you are done!!!
