Disable session id

Hello,
I use 1.7.6 version on my website & tired because google is indexing sesssion id strings in google search.& might consider it's spam like web.i.e.duplicate content. & it's resulting in lower search rank.
I like to disable session ID.But like to know no. of visitors on website.
How can I do it with ease ?

A solution to disable session ID only for google bot (and also other bots) is to install the following mods ....

1. [MOD] Treat bots as users with less rights : http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=8752.0
2. [snippet] Detect a bot and dont attach sessionid for it : http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=6729.msg59251#msg59251

But read and install carefully the mod and the snippet, to understand how they work together ...
