Discussion & Troubleshooting / Error to upload .js file IE6 & IE8

Hello,
I am using 4images for 2-3 years. I am uploading .js files to category. I am able to upload .js file using IE6 but when I installed IE8 then I am not able to upload .js file & getting error as below.

Error uploading image file:
Tina_Ki_Chaabi.js: Invalid file type (js, application/octet-stream)

Same error I gets while I try to upload using mozilla firefox 3.6
Everything at server is same.
What can be the reason ? Any experts here

I am using 4images gallery for all my sites.
I frequently gets my account suspended from my host with reason of high use of CPU use.
How can I optimize my 4images gallery to decrease CPU use. my database backup filesize (i.e.which I downloaded from 4images admin panel) is of 10MB
Is it too much ? If so, then images to my gallery are about 10000
Registered users are 3000 abt.
Is it too much really ?
Please advice me seriously.. NO fun..

What is mean of error_log ?
My error file is having size of 12MB ?
I don't understand what's mean of it ? Can I replace the same with small file copied from another installation.

I installed 4images 1.7.6 on my server.
My captcha is already active without adding these lines to config.php
$captcha_enable = 1;
$captcha_enable_comments = 1;
$captcha_enable_upload = 0;
$captcha_enable_registration = 1;
$captcha_enable_postcards = 1;
How it can be possible?

I have two installations of 4images script on my website.
I wish to use same database of users & lightboxes for both installations.I also like to use some other scripts too,for same users database. i.e. just like yahoo, with single account we can access mail,flicker,answers like ?
How can I use same one ?

Hi Friends,
I use 4images for my 10 websites. My visitors comes from diff. countries & use diff. resolution.
I like to add pluggin to 4images so that visitors can choose the template according to resolution i.e. if Resolun is 1024x768 or 800
x600.
He can choose which one he prefers.
If he is accessing site with mobile then he can choose small resoln. like 240x320 like...
I can create templates of this resoln but How can I offer visitors like to choose templates with his/her mind ?
Any suggestions are welcome ..!

I am using 4images gallery version 1.7.6 for my site & I did changes to .htaccess file which is placed within /public_html/ folder.
Code is as below .. I tried about 5-6 formats & also tried both uploading mode (Auto & ASCII)

Installation, Update & Configuration / Disable session id

Hello,
I use 1.7.6 version on my website & tired because google is indexing sesssion id strings in google search.& might consider it's spam like web.i.e.duplicate content. & it's resulting in lower search rank.
I like to disable session ID.But like to know no. of visitors on website.
How can I do it with ease ?

Installation, Update & Configuration / error while moving to new host

Hello,
I just moved to new server. All work done by webhost with cpanel to cpanel transfer.
Problem is that I can upload in old categories as before, but I created some new categories on new server & not able to upload in these newly created categories.
error is as below

error is not specified. i.e. next to : shows nothing . Also I checked with FTP there is no folder in media/data/ & media/thumbnails/ of that cat no./
Any ideas.

Installation, Update & Configuration / asking for login & password again & again after page refresh

Hello,
My site is shifted to new server before last 10-15 days.
The site is based on 4images gallery .
I am getting problem of auto-logout since the time of shifting site.
I tested same script in old server & never faced any issues of autologout. It's asking username & password after 5-10 times of page impressions.
I am sure that some server settings might be there,so I installed fresh script under new folder & new server ,but still the same problem i.e. prob is not with installation from my side or any script errors.(i installed it using fantastico)
It's not domain related issue it's happening to all my sites on new server.
Any clues ?

I am using 4image gallery version 1.7.6.
I made all my categories that needs to upload by myself (i..e admin)
Once I log in & choose category for upload,it again automatically logged out. again I need to enter username & password,after I do this & choose category for upload,again automatically lightbox is emty & upload button is inactive (i.e.w/o username & password )
Any clues? hours & hours I wasted on this
& sometimes gets error as below

I am trying to start "adsense for feeds" for my 4images gallery .
Adsense Says as below :
If this is your first time setting up feeds with AdSense or FeedBurner, you'll need to burn a new feed first. Click the burn a new feed link, then enter your blog or feed URL. Some platforms may present you with a choice of feeds to use as the source; usually picking the Atom feed will work. You'll then be given a new URL for your feed which you should promote or redirect to in order to make sure all subscribers are seeing your enhanced feed.
When I click on "Burn New Feed", It is asking the Blog or Feed URL
Which is blog or feed url exactly.
i.e. http://www.xyz.com/4images/rss.php?action=images
or http://www.xyz.com/4images/rss.php?
or http://www.xyz.com/4images/rss.php
I entered
http://www.xyz.com/4images/rss.php?action=images
& created feed now my feed url is
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/thisisonlyexample
Is it done OK ?

My host told me that my site is consuming high CPU usage about 20 % .
I am using shared server.
SO I changed from disabled captcha to below one.
-Captcha is enabled to stop spamming using send as ecard . (8 digit captcha)
-Comments are also captcha enabled (8 digit captcha)
-Registration is also captcha enabled (8 digit captcha)
-Image download only available to reg. users.
-send as ecard only available to reg. users.
-image upload only for admin
-FTP password changed to 24 digits & & all webmail accounts deleted(only default one is there )
-keywords which are automatically creates hyperlink to search page is also disabled in order to stop load on sql database.i.e.only keywords are there no hyperlink.
Getting below 1000 visitors per day.
Still my host is saying high CPU use.

is causing high CPU %
Anyone help please.

Hello,
I like to upload MP3 file (i.e. mp3 ringtone) to 4images gallery. But visitors should be able to play it before download.
just like this
http://www.mobinations.com/en/ringtone-preview.php?w=ostrov-sokrovischhit-.mp3
Then they can download & use it.
Currently I can upload .mp3 but not able to play it b4 download.
Please tell me answer.
