can i just set the permission for config.php to 777 instead of downloading the new config and uplaoding it...etc OR do u have to do that...cuz i have doen that install was pefect but then when i wanted to make categories or uplaod images there were just errors the whole time....

nemaind i figured it out but now when  i want to upload a image i get this  problem..

Disable SAFE MODE in your php.ini.

ok but does my hosts have to do that or is that a file i got?

cuz i dont host my own file

my hosts installed GD 4 me (like image magik) now that it is installed how do i go about using it....

Ask your host to disable SAFE MODE for you.

The highest version of GD is 2.0.4
Just select GD in your settings.
