Ok... Tried again,

I tried installing it once on 1.7.4 I had a few errors... I just quit trying cause I'm not sure if it actually works with this version....

If someone has made this work on the latest version please let me know, so I can try again. : )

try installing tinyMCE... it takes 1 minute, then log into your control panel and change the description of any picture or gallery... then you will understand what I mean..

search for news mod on the forum. I'm sure there's a couple. I never used one... I just use tinyMCE to edit my descriptions.

it affects the description box for categories and images (it looks for any form text area on the page)... so you don't need a news mod installed... but if you install any of them then TinyMCE will work for them too.

You don't need a news mod to run TinyMCE.

I think this one is simple to explain!

I need some way of displaying all subcategory images on the may category... (thumbnails)

ex. Main Category is "Paintings". Sub Categories are, "people", "nature", etc...

So when you browse category "Paintings" you will see all thumbnails of its sub categories on it. 

If $50 is not enough let me know, I'm willing to negotiate

you already solved this one with the {cat_id} tag you fixed for me!

now I just call the source for the iframe using the cat_it! Works perfectly!

I'm trying to use {cat_id} tag to display the gategory ID on the Category Page along with the Category Description... 

What I need is to have the same ID that's on the Address bar, displaying on the page. ex (../4images/categories.php?cat_id=12) from this I would only like to display the number "12".  I know it uses cat_id on the functions.php, but it's not working on templates...

anyone know why?
