Title: Allow users to edit their own images
Post by: niad on September 22, 2012, 03:21:57 PM
Is there a way to allow users/members to edit their own images?

There many similar questions in the forum, but I see no answers for this question...

Hi!
You are a member since 2004?
General/Settings/Session and User Settings: Allow users to edit their own images and Allow users to delete their own images

No dear Rembrandt, I am sorry, but this time you are wrong

The only things that a member can edit are these:

and the settings are:

No edit (change) image or edit thumbnail...

Any help please?

You may think that I am wrong, because as Admin you can see all image fields to edit them, but as member you can't edit any image!!

Hello,
little more patience  8O
Not everyone is a programmer.
It may take even longer time until one responds.

The help function often helps already.

Thanks for your reply Rembrandt, your answer explains why there is no answer for this problem...

This option exists for the 4Images Admins and not for users, if we only could add permission for users too...
I wish I was as good as you are to do it my self, but I am not

Thank you so much for your hard work!

I just applied the MOD, I did exactly what you wrote, but nothing happen, still users can't edit their own files or thumbnails... I see nothing new, only at the ACP I can see a new added field that says:

Allow users to edit their own image descriptions and keywords

As you can see in my screenshot above, this option was always there by default, no MOD needed for this.

BEFORE:

AFTER THE MOD:

Am  I missing something?  Maybe you have changed something else too and you forgot to to include it in the new MOD?
