Moved hosts, getting 404 icon on some images
« on: April 18, 2005, 07:50:04 PM »
Hello all,
I recently had 4images 1.7 installed on a host, but recently moved to a better, faster host.  Before I moved, I made sure I downloaded all the images in the  "data" directory and backed up the database.

Now that I got 1.7.1 installed on my new host, I dropped in the data directory with all images, uploaded the database, and clicked on restore on the control panel.

Everything looks good, EXCEPT I'm getting a 404 icon when clicking on a half of the images.  Some seem to work, while others fail to load.  I made sure everything was chmod'ed to 777 and still getting the 404 icon.  I also looked in the category folder via FTP and see that the images that are getting the 404 are there, so it's not an issue if the images were uploaded or not.

Can anyone help???

Ok..I think I figured it out

The new server seems to be sensitive to case of the name.  For example, clicking on a image on 4images called "IMG_3924.jpg" will not work if the file name on the server is called "IMG_3924.JPG"

Grrrr!!! Now I have to check and change all my images!!!
