Problem.
« on: October 13, 2005, 06:53:51 PM »
I know i know, this is for mods and requests, but this seemed like an english domintated area of the board.

Okay, i have two problems.
1. i have a 32mb file i was tring to upload to my gallery, it loaded and loaded and loaded and when it was done, it went to the "forgotten Password" page, and the file wasnt uploaded, not even on the server.

2. i uploaded the fime manually and added it using the URL of where it was. it accepted it, acknowladged the file type, Yadda yadda, but when i clicked the download link to test it, i got a 500 error from the server. i tested the actual file on the server and it downloaded perfectly!

Could someone please help me?
heres a link to the file's details page. http://bloodyeyes.avsupreme.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=9
and heres a link to the actual file. http://bloodyeyes.avsupreme.com/anime/LH1.zip
i really need need this file to work.

you must increase memory limit per script in php.ini to be more then the largest file you want to download.
also, if you have access to the error logs files, see what exactly it says when 500 error come up.
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)

if you mean the PHP.ini file for the PHP Parser, i dont have access to that. as for the 500 error, i dont have access to the logs either.

what a sad position i'm in. :(

Perhaps you could ask your hoster to give u more details on 500 error and/or increase memory limit.

my host...is rather unflexible. it took a signed petition to get them to install PHPMyAdmin onto their servers.

*sighs*i've decided that although it would be nice to have all my eggs in one basket, i guess i'll just have to spread em out a bit.
