OK.. went into settings;
changed it to:GD (http://www.boutell.com/gd)
clicked on Autothumbnail.,
It lists 10 itmes that I want to thumbnail.
I click create thumbnail
it now says
Create thumbnail for: babe1 (babe1.gif) ....
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagegif() in /home/www/mobe/4images/includes/image_utils.php on line 79
EH!??
what am i doing wrong, to use thumbnails, do I have to download any extra software from those sites? or does it haev it already installed.
any help major appreciated

the "newer" versions of GD doesn't contain support for .gif-Files 'cause of legal issues. Try a search (http://4homepages.de/forum/search.php) for imagegif() in that forum...

that's correct, GD2 doesnt support .gif format.
the only sollution for u is ImageMagick or NetPBM. IM requered shell access for installation, NetPBM can be installed through FTP.
just search the forum for more info.
