FAQ, Tips / Lost admin password - what to do?

Is there anyway to retrive a lost admin password?

I  set up a local copy, but dont remember the pass word that the admin user has, as it was several days/weeks ago.

any help retriving the lost password or do i just need to reinstall

I would like to modify the check for new images script to automate (with options) the creation of the thumbnails as well as the resize of the large image.

I would also like to add the option of having it fill in the download path. This would fill it in based on a formula from the file name.

I will also need to modify the download script to add a varible to give the ip address of the server holding the high-rez images.

Which scripts need to be modifyed for this? Could i add the new check images script to the admin pages?

I want to add a button similar to the ones for light table, download and e-card for adding a shopping cart for ordering photos.

The button would need to pass the catagory and the image name/number.

What template would i need to edit?

Also i am looking at integrating 4images with phpwebsite ahs anyone done this already?

What type of things would i be looking at?

Installation, Update & Configuration / Problem with e-card

I am trying to send ecard from my 4images install and i can send them just find to anything in my domain however, if i try t send it to someone outside the domain, i get the error

DB Error: RCPT TO invalid mail server response: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)


went to the setting and entered the smtp user and password, but then tells me that there is a server auth error. to try removing the username and password.

Is the authorization for all amil servers the same? Do i need to set up a mail account for just 4images?

Installation, Update & Configuration / Bulk uploading of images

Is there a way to upload multiple images at the same time. I have about 5,000 images or so that need to be uploaded to the same catagory.

Also, Is 4images able to create its own thumbnails from the files? what about a "webimage" so that i dont haveto hve the LARGE origioal files on my web server?
