Newb Needs Help Installing 4Images Mobile Server
« on: July 27, 2009, 04:40:50 AM »
I was looking for a way to share photos on the home server I've set up running Windows XP.  4images Mobile Server seems perfectly suited for that task -- just unzip it and run it!

When I follow the readme.txt and after unzipping and running "4images_ms.exe", all I get is a splash screen that doesn't go away.  No web browser, nothing in the system tray.

However, when I go into the "server" folder in the extracted files and run either "start.bat" or "en.bat", it starts mysql, it starts apache, and it brings up a browser displaying "http://localhost/4images/".  But the page is in German!

I assume that, despite the readme.txt file, going into the "server" folder and running "start.bat" or "en.bat" (which I assume is the English version) is the right way to start it up.  Can anyone tell me how to get it to come up in English?  I can't read German.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide this newb.

Mike
