I don't see any problem either.  I think your hosting provider doesn't really know what they're looking at.

These lines show like 50 times it should never be so much

How do they know that?  Just because there is a lot of activity doesn't mean there's a problem.  50 times?  That doesn't help either.  What?  50 times per second?  Per hour?  Per minute?

Even if there is a problem, and I doubt there is based on the limited information here, your provider should have more ability to give you detailed information as to what is wrong from their perspective.

Time to switch to another provider.  That's what I would do without hesitation.

There is no need to post the PHP files, everybody knows what's inside them.  We all have the same files ourselves and that's why the code was deleted.  It only made the forum thread really long and posting the code was pointless in this case.

Honestly it is a server/PHP configuration issue.  If your hosting provider doesn't know how to solve it, then your solution is to find another hosting provider.  There is nothing that can be done with 4images to fix this issue.

Yeah but I'll bet that's not the only mod you installed.  Maybe there is a conflict somewhere between 2 different mods.  Maybe there is a mistake somewhere in the code or an edit error.  My point is that this problem doesn't look like it has anything to do with the base product.

I know 4images doesn't show country flags anywhere so you must have installed a mod of some kind.  Try restoring your backups (not modified code) and see if the problem goes away.  That would be my suggestion for a place to start

would adding my smtp info and activating it in the settings page be a more reliable way to send emails?

Possibly... it depends on the reliability of the SMTP server you select to use
