Some questions before...
« on: August 30, 2006, 12:59:50 PM »
Hi all,

i just had a look at 4images and it looks great. I'm in the concept phase of a new image-community. It will be a community for screenshots of a specific game. Theres some special features i would like to have. maybe you could tell me if 4 images is able to provide them.

1. There should be several additional fields for images to specify the content in detail. Some would be dropdowns or radio buttons to chose from, others just input fields or textareas.
2. Is there already a tagging-function like flickr.com has it?
3. it looks like modifications/extensions do always mean to change the code so updates will be hard work every time. is this correct? is there probably a plugin/hook-system like in vbulletin?

that's all for the beginning - maybe i will have some more questions later.

thanks for your answers so far.

1. yes, search for "details additional fields" or something like that
3. there is no hook-sytem like in vbulletin, but do not worry! The Mods are very easy to installl.

2. "tagging-function" we call "keywords" its built-in
Your first three "must do" before you ask a question:
Please do not PM me asking for help unless you've been specifically asked to do so. Such PMs will be deleted without answer. (forum rule #6)
