Error uploading
« on: November 06, 2002, 10:22:51 PM »
Hi all,

Yes i know this problem is discussed alot.

But this is my problem, if i want uploaded a picture i get this error

Warning: Unable to create './../data/media/22/1.1.jpg': No such file or directory in /home/zippie/HTML/includes/upload.php on line 111

Warning: Unable to move '/tmp/phpjLiVJa' to './../data/media/22/1.1.jpg' in /home/zippie/HTML/includes/upload.php on line 111
Plaatje 1
  Fout met het uploaden: 1.1.jpg
1.1.jpg: Copie fout, check de rechten.

No database entry!

I'm sure all the chmod functions are right. I think my problem is that i have deleted some maps, in the data dir.
But not i get the hole time this error.

So it's not a chmod error, and i'm sure that map "1" in the data/tumbnails and data/media

So who know's this?

Regards,

Bas

Xippx>> That's exactly the same problem I have!!

Anywayz instead of trying to solve it, I just create a new folder after they prompt me of the error... That means I try to upload and they tell me folder, say 20, has error, I'll go to FTP and create a folder "20", set the permission and upload again then it'll work... Kinda troublesome but at least it's working...

Err... you need to use FTP or something to create the folders each time you create a category...

Like if the error message is:
Warning: Unable to create './../data/media/22/1.1.jpg': No such file or directory
Then you need to go to your media directory and create the folder 22 and chmod it... Then you try uploading again and it should work...

The problem for me is I have to keep doing it... Say I create folder 22 and I manage to upload photos into that particular directory.. The next time I create another category for my gallery, I'll get the messge
Warning: Unable to create './../data/media/23/1.1.jpg': No such file or directory
So I just go FTP and create folder 23 and it'll work...

That doesn't really solve the problem.. but at least it's working... Hope that helps...
