« on: April 28, 2010, 01:49:14 PM »I edited the db_mysql.php file with the change in the echo command and then the (isset), and I get the following errors when trying to run the install.php
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log. thank you for any assistance. It is like the installation does not happen at all?

i think you are the guy who complains about the mysql server settings
.try this...
create new file named: mysqlconnect.php
put this into

mysql_select_db("4IMAGES_DATABASE") or die(mysql_error());

?>change:
MYSQL_SERVER_NAME to name of your mysql server host
DATABASE_USERNAME to name for your mysql username
DATABASE_PASSWORD to your mysql password
4IMAGES_DATABASE to name of your mysql 4images database
this details you should have from your HOST
upload the file to your 4images folder or where you want.. call it with http://domain/mysqlconnect.php
if you see this:

Connected to Database
than it is everything fine.. those details should be used for the 4images installation (USE CLEAN ORIGINAL FILES!)..
IF mysqlconnect.php shows you similiar like this:

you have still wrong details for the mysql server! again.. contact your host for the correct ones
remember: noone here is able to help you if you have wrong details..

you will never have a chance to stop spammers. as they using proxies.. look another softwares.. like forums...
nothing is secure... captcha, reCaptcha.. there is nothing what you can do in my opinion. you banned one ip... they got another one.. you are again banning... new ip... again, again, again...
spammers are everywhere..
only one thing you can do which are you doing already... delete comments... ban user... ban ip (even you are maybe for later banning good users).... as you would maybe on a forum.
that is it.

entschuldige bitte, aber wir sprechen hier nicht von den original dateien von 4images.
nochmals, bitte original dateien einsetzen und testen ob dieser fehler mit den original dateien vorkommt..
wenn du versuchst MODs einzubauen... eins nach den anderen um zu sehen welcher dein fehler verursacht bzw. in dem entsprechendem mod dann berichten..
jer, ovako možemo samo da se sami pitamo šta radiš pogrešno..

there is NO limitation in 4images script with our without fantastico autoinstaller.
Only limitation will be your shared host(if you are on it), how much pics this one can serve, to don't get it overload.
250,000 images would be a lot for a shared server.
therefore i don't think you can serve 250,000 pictures on it.
anyway, good luck with try it.
