Global user settings / picture manipulation on webupload

Hiya,

I have two requests regarding features (or if it already exists then please let me know how to 'enable' them):

1.) For each new category I can set the permission level for users / registered users / admins. Up to now, there is always a default set. How can I alter that default because all my categories will be the same, except maybe for one or two.

2.) When registered users upload pictures through the web, is it possible to have automatically thumnails generated and the pictures (if too large) resized to a predefined value?

As for your information, I got the 1.5Beta version of the Image Gallery, using PHP 4.0.5 and GD Version 1.6.2.

Open "admin/categories.php". At the top you will find the array "$access_field_array". Here you can set the default permissions.

At the moment, no.

At the moment, we want first to release the 1.5 final version. But i will set it to the feature-wishlist for future versions.

Any release date for the final version yet? I mean I have no installed the beta and so far it seems to work fine.
