Title: How to remove unwant html code / logo in catigories on index page

After upgrading to 1.7.4 from 1.7.1?

an un sightly addition in 1.7.1
is ow very ugly in 1.7.4 and shows the html code

I would like to remove the text and such
to see the issue goto

I have searched this forum, and learned a lot
but not found out home to make basic modifications to pages

1. is there a "maunal" ?

In the past I was able modify header images, but renaming new head jpg with name of jpg in pages

2. Is there a way to see more then one result when doing a search,

No thanks to any assistance from the forum

I realized the "garbage text" was actually in the discription of the catagory

It was so simply, it defied an answer
