include pictures as flash document (*.fla - files )
« on: May 04, 2003, 06:02:12 PM »
i would like to put pictures as flash documents, .fla files, on my site.
i suppose i must make an fla.html in "media", but what should be the html of that page ?
The purpose of doing that is that i want people only to print the pictures from my site, and not be able to download them.
A picture as .fla file can't be saved or downloaded , if im right.

 i want to include a print button also.

All this in a popup window, what i already have.
my site ( still working at it ) is : www.schoolplaten.com

it's the same principle  i'm looking for as used at http://www.kleurplaten.nl

thx a lot !

no, i do mean "*.fla" files

if you open, lets say a jpeg-picture with flash ( Macromedia Flash MX )
, and you want to save it, (so just that picture, nothing more) it is saved as a "flash MX document", and that is an *.fla file

.fla files are the files which can be editted in Flash. When you want to use them on the internet you have to publish the file, so the Flash Players can read the file. These files have the extension .swf and their compressed for the internet.

Just click "File > Publish" in the Flash menu. The .swf file will be made in the same map as your .fla file. Then upload that .swf in 4images :)

For more help with Flash, I suggest you read the help files of flash...

I already worked a little bit with flash, made a little movie with it, and there i did used the publish function indeed.
Didn't knew i had to do it with pics also...

still learning every day..... :)

i suppose you can't help me with the print function in a popup ?
you can see a good example at www.kleurlpaten.nl, where you can ( only ) print the pics.
all ideas   are welcome....
