Title: Template Error
Post by: StlComics on July 31, 2007, 08:32:46 PM
Hello!

I have been running the 4Images galleries on my site now for some time with no problems.  Today I started getting an error for what seems like no reason.  The error is as follows:

Quote
Template Error: Couldn't open Template ./templates/default/media/php.html

Here is a link to the gallery: http://gallery.stlcomics.com/

Any help would be very much appreciated.

THANKS!

Error say as is. Must upload php.html in: templates/default/media. Will work then.

@thunderstrike Right!  :D

@StlComics I think you are trying to add a new extension? If yes check this:

Hello;
I believe that a member has uploaded a file with the PHP extension. Look at this post: php.html (http://www.4homepages.de/forum/index.php?topic=18159.0)

That was it.  I hate hackers.  They just make more work I don't need.

I am still having some problems though. None of my images are showing up.  They are still in the files where they should be, but the software can't find them.  I'm going to upgrade to the newest version (1.7.4) and hopefully that will fix it.

OK, I have upgraded to the newest version (1.7.4), but I am still having problems.  None of the images are showing up.  Any ideas why that might be?

Thanks to all who have helped so far!

All of the images are still live, and working just fine.  I just removed the index.html from the media folder so you can see the files are still very active here:

The software apparently can't find them any longer.   :|

Hello;
what do you see if you try to edit an image in your Admin Control Panel?

Oddly enough, when I try to edit an image, the thumbnail shows up, but not the fullsize image.   :roll:

Wow;
with 4195 pictures, it will be hard to restore...
Have you got a recent backup of your database?

I don't have a recent backup actually, which is a stupid thing, I know.  Why should I need that though?  The rest of the info for each picture is still in place.  It is just the pictures themselves that aren't showing up.

I've just checked the DB, and all the info there seems to also be in place.  Nothing is missing, so a restoration of the DB shouldn't help this problem, right?

I've finally just found the problem!  On the admin control panel, under 'General/Settings/Upload Settings/Valid File Extensions' the file extensions were set to only accept PHP files.  Anything else was not recognized.  Apparently when the site was hacked, the hacker first made this change so that the virus file that was uploaded would work.

Anyhow, I'm back in business now.  Thanks again to everyone who helped!   :mrgreen:
