But please dont let google loose the cache...
There is no way for anyone to do this except engineers at Google.  Once Google discovers the old links are missing, it automatically invalidates and discards its cache.  This is the way search engines work and there's no way around it

I grabbed a few last Saturday/Sunday when I found the forum was hacked.  Unfortunately there were not that many to be had as the cache was already disappearing.

I have been thinking about using Dreamboard mod..... is it at all a good alternative to phpBB?

I mean it is 4images?

Im now second guessing using it... I mean Since you added this board rather than Dreamboard maybe you can tell me why you didnt  choose it?

sorry to hear about what happened..
recently my 4images index was defaced due to an exploit in phpbb's old version. I can't believe people can do such damage in purpose. Especially to such a site. From what I hear it is a simple script that searched web for a certain versioned phpbb sites, and automatically run the script and damaged the sites. Thank god mine was only defaced.

I have never seen or heard this forum s/w before, I hope it works well and normally these types of forums are not always the target. If you were going to use paid svc vBB would have been a great choice, but good luck with this, and I surely hope in no time we can restore everything back to the way it was.

I am so mad that some of the great topics were lost.

Quick suggestion, the themes need to be worked on, the default is not so great to the eyes, and not too easy to read some times, the second one seems a little better with blue, but I suggest try to get one with smaller fonts and more organized view.

Good luck to everyone and let's get to work now.

PhpBB had a great feature to click on a link to show you all of your own posts.... I cant seem to find that feature with this board.......

It is takking to much time for me to search for all my recent posts...Not just the ones with replies....  can you tell me if I am missing it? I cant find my posts without searching:(

And can we set the default automatically to notify you by email for all of your posts that are replied too?

I hate having to set that for each of my posts....

Thanks-

Robert

It would be nicer if you could access it from the main page without going into the profile.... and also it would be cool if you could see it threaded like in phpbb so you could see the name of the thread and the last person to comment ..... makes things more efficient and easier to read...

I know it sounds like I am complaining about nothing...

Sorry... :|

and it is not too popular with hackers/scripts.

they try to focus popular and free forums like invision & phpbb.
VBb is another great choice, with superb support, but it needs to be licenced & costs.

This forums seems to be working fine so far with solid performance. *(hoping I won't get  "server not available" error after "POST")  :-p

Oh, and please edit the news on top of the site. With the other theme (that I am using) there is a BOOK on the top of every page.. :) the "News:" section, at least remove it from this style (non-default).
