Hello.
I don't know helpful this can be, but have you checked your MySQL database to see that your images are actually being loaded?

Do you have an example URL?

Have you tried accessing the URL to the pic just through your browser... for example:

http://yourdomain/gallery/data/media/20/picture.jpg

IF you picture is in the right category directory, it should work.

I know when I was creating my categories from the control panel I logged into FTP each time and wrote down the new numerical folder - that way I knew I was uploading to the right one.

Have you looked through the other folders within your Media folder... or thumbnail folder...

Regards

Lolla

Hello,
The easiest way to check what number the folder is that's relevant to your category is a little manual.

Best thing I can suggest is for you to write down some of the image names that appear within each of the different categories [assuming they have different names] and then logging into FTP and manually going through your folders and marrying them up that way....

Other than that, you could always look in your MySQL DB with MyPHPAdmin ...

I don't know how familiar you are with MyPHPAdmin, but if you click on the table titled " 4images_images "  you should be able to see all of the images and their corresponding category ID.  Might be quicker than manually going through FTP if you named your images uniquely...

I hope that helps somewhat... were you able to log in?

Cheers!

Lolla

Hello,
Yes I am in Aus... I am actually with a paid hosting provider namely because I get support with it when I need it, and they are wonderful [aussiehosts].  I notice that with Cool Free Pages, they do not provide any support from MYSQL nor PHP and you need to install PHPMyAdmin!

I think there was a post on the forum somewhere about retrieving a lost password.

Can you not run the install.php file again?  That would atleast give you the ability to start from scratch.

Other than that, I am really sorry I can't help you further, as it was I got my host to install the script for me because I was having issues myself.

Regards

Lolla

See this thread http://www.4homepages.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1899

After implementing Nicky's mod. I'm left with the category numbers displayed alongside the categories in the admin control panel.
