Title: How to Transfer 4images to other Server

Hi i want to transfer my 4images gallery to other webshosting server

I search lot but got nothing

PLz guide me step by step

There are several ways of transfering between servers.

Option 1) Re-install the whole gallery from scratch. Time consuming but reliable. Assumes you have all original files but 4images script usually in cpanel/fantastico (free) so install basic script from there. Then upload skins/mods/pictures.

Option 2) Transfer all the files manually. Copy all the files to your hard drive via ftp and backup the database with cpanel/phpmyadmin from your old server. Then restore the database with phpmyadmin and ftp all the files to your new server. This is what I'd do but it depends how many image files you've got as to how long it takes. Same goes for optiion 1.

Option 3) Use the cpanel backup function on old account and cpanel restore backup on new account. Never done it myself tho'.

Option 4) Ask new host provider to transfer your site for you. Some hosts will do this for new accounts and it wouldn't hurt to ask. That'd be easiest and my first choice.

Hope that helps, some better ideas may (hopefully) follow :)
