What I propose is that just the lightbox button alone would be in an iframe and that iframe that has the lightbox button is the only thing that will refresh and get checked or unchecked.

example:

------------whole page----------------------

----

<iframe>lightbox (unchekced)</iframe>


----
-------------End of Page---------------------

now when someone clicks the lightbox botton that's inside the iframe, that will carry out the function, and refresh just the content of the iframe and also change the status of the button to checked or unchecked.

Hi jan,

Would you plz concider doing the lightbox check/uncheck in iframe or something so that it doesn't refresh the whole page?

*** What I mean by this is that have just the lightbox button inside of an iframe so when ppl click it to check or uncheck an image in their favorite, only the button would refresh and carry out the lightbox function.

like do u want the imported picture were "registered" to guest, not to "yourname - admin" ?

Right. I want the uploaded pictures to be as if a "guest" uploaded them. This is because I'm converting files from an image gallery script which is done in cgi and paid so much for it too!!!!! But, after my purchase I saw this script and fell in love with it. On the old gallery, guest could upload pictures. So I need to transfer them to 4images and have them show that they where uploaded by "guest."

Is there a way to do that???

Thanks for the great mod. I've been using it successfully.

1.  What do I need to do to make images that are added be under the user "Guest" and not the admin?

2.  How can I use this Mod to batch-upload to an "existing" category?

I'm using 4images for some heavy files that are kind of a pain when they have to refresh for "lightbox" check/uncheck.

Do you think that someone could write it in a way that checking/uncheckig the lightbox can be accomplished without it having to refresh the page?

Who can take this challenge into hand and come up with a brilliant MOD/PLUGIN.

Jan would you please concider this if you may.

p.s. I love this script so much, i've been telling everyone about it! Again, thank you for such a wonderful job and software. I personally trully appreciate all the work that has gone into this great software. Thank you again.

Dear V@no,

A few problems occur with this and I think it's because the "user" table holds information not just for the username and password, but user_lastaction, user_location, user_lastvisit, and user_comments, and this creats some problems as being kicked out if your are signed in and a few other little problems such as getting logged out if you go from one instance of 4images to the second instance of the 4images. Other problems like then "new images since last visit" will not work properly...and few little other things.

But, regardless....thanks again.

I just tried the above code briefly and it works perfect so far as I can tell. I'll try this a few days and if all goes as plan, I'll make a little post so that others can use this too if they need something alike.

Jan, thank you for this software, it's great!

Is it possible to have two 4images running on the same server, but different folders using different database files, but using the same "Members Data" file, so if a registered user registers on on of the instances of the 4images, he/she will automatically become a member on ther other one too.

Just sharing the members login data if you know what I mean.
