Right.  But two posts ago, he asked this question:

Does the annotation mod put something on the image file?

My mistake for not reading all the posts ...

Chris,

if I'm not mistaking, BobFerret's main problem was that his gallery was loading slow.

He thought it had something to do with the annotation mod. But, now, we may be arriving at the conclusion that it wasn't the annotation mod that caused the problem, rather it was the external links that he had added to the gallery that may be to blame for the slow performance of the gallery.

Am I right BobFerret?

Thanks XippiX,

I get it now. This is cool. And, what's best it seems to me that it is free. Well, other than the small donation they ask for.  :D

This happened for a site I helped designed. It started when they added some external links. As soon as those external links were removed, things went back to normal.

Do you have some external files that your gallery points to?

What the heck do they mean by the word "Nuke"?

And what is a PHPNuke?

Plz explain as if you are explaining to a one year old, because I really don't have any clue about this.

Fugaziman,

Great MOD.

What are the changes made to the database when you run the content of the zipped file with this mod?

...and if you have more than one 4images installed on your server, will this only effect the database tables for that particular 4images instant that you are working on?

Thanks

Chit Chat / Nice Script!
« on: May 13, 2003, 10:40:07 PM »
I second that! 4images is the best image script I've seen so far. I purchased imagefolio before I discovered 4images. And, after I discovered 4images, I noticed it's so much better than imagefolio, and so I switched everything to 4images.

Thank you to the developer of 4images for providing such a fantastic script for everyone.

May you be blessed as you have blessed us all.  :D

p.s. I'm not religious!

If I have time, maybe I'll post how this was done...

Any chance this could be in the near future? The comments for the image I was talking about has reached the bottom of the earth now!

Comments for other images are also becoming way out of control.

Only solution left now is to seperate them to more than one page.

Mods & Plugins (Releases & Support) / Re: [Mod] Avatar v2.01

I have slightly changed Step 1.4 and Step 8.
now "Custom" option will be showed even if user changed his avatart to blank or any from the list (so he dont need upload his avatar again).
also, now "Custom" word is taken from language pack.

First of all, thank you V@no for yet another fantastic MOD. I use the Avatar mod and just LOVE it.

For me, when I do a test, "Custom" shows twice in the list if member changes their custom avatar more than one time in a single session.

This is true unless I refresh the page, then the two "Custom" texts go back to one as they should be!

Another thing is since each user will have their custom pic in the same ID as their usersname, then the computer will read from the custom avatar from it's cache and if they change their custom avatar to some other custom avatar, then the browser reads off of the old cache and they don't see the change in their avatar... Unless the actually refresh their page, which they prob. won't.

Is there anything that can be done?

I did read the other case someone had regarding the two "Custom" text and I checked the db_field_definitions.php file and all is as it should be.

other than this tiny prob. all is working fine. :)
