As I have seen in the code is that the random image gets picked through an sql statement. (correct me if I am wrong Jan). Maybe there is a faster way to get a random image in PHP Code.

I have some experience with that when I wrote a module for the PHPNuke cms package. Maybe I can try to use a piece of that code...

Have you installed 4images in your root path of the hosting directory?
Then yes you have a problem, because some hosting plans use the /admin folder for you to access you domain settings.

Try to upload 4images to a subdirectory like /4images/ and then you can login at /4images/admin.

And contact the hosting company and ask if they can help.

But you need to compile the sourcecode on your own linux machine. (or whatever platform your host runs). Use the same paths as your host, and then maybe it is possible...

Otherwise, send an email to the hosting company and see what they can do.

I want to show the thumbnail of the next file, but if it has no thumbnail, I want to show the media icon for it. Is there a variable for it? Or do I have to customize?

I have made the dutch language package ready for download at the 4Images category at http://xander.mine.nu. I will create an include script for making the site more or less multi-langual using the code from the install.php

I will make the translation files downloadable from the gallery. I created a template file which I include in the header.html template file. It is not yet finished, because I hardcoded the three languages in. I will create a dynamic script which identifies all the language package installed in the lang directory.

I'll post a reply here when I have made the language package downloadable.

PS. I would like to recieve more language packages. So if anyone has more, please send them to me.

The default link colors are in the header.html in the <BODY> tag.
The stylesheet overrides them now, but someone browsing with no CSS support still will see the 'old' colours.

In my opinion it is hard to integrate with an external package. Consider the difficulty when upgrading on of the packages, the number of different bb's which ppl like. Most of the time it will end up in someone writing some script to integrate a bb for each version. Integrating means customizing a package that you have not developed...and that is not easy.

But I understand it would be very nice to have these 'joined' logins and registrations. So, I invite some developers to join hands and make some great scripts to integrate bb's. I would join the team  :lol:

But bear in mind that if the max file size should be taken into account, so that a 'wider' image is accepted as long as the size is within the limit.

Hi,

I am just new to 4Images and loving it already.
As I am dutch, I made a dutch translation. It is almost finished. Take a look at: http://xander.mine.nu to view it.

I was wondering if anyone has translated the search_stopterms.txt to dutch. I am not sure what it does, so I haven't translated it yet.

I also created my own template, which I am still developing. I added a multi-language option in the template, so a visitor can choose between 2 languages, deutsch, english or nederlands. If anyone can provide me with more translation please do, so I can add them.

Well, that was it for now :)
